DAY 21:
So, today marks day 21 of my new lifestyle. Time is really starting to fly by!
As of today, I have lost 18.6lbs. WOOHOO!!
A lot of people have been asking what I have been doing. So here it is:
Breakfast: EAS AdvantEDGE protein shake (Carb Control)
Lunch: homemade low carb lunch. usually something like a homemade turkey burger or homemade chicken salad on a high fiber low carb wheat tortilla. I normally have a sugar free jello snack or a 2/3 cup serving of cottage cheese.
Dinner: EAS shake again. (usually a different flavor from breakfast)
In between meals, if I get hungry I will snack on string cheese or almonds. It really is amazing the things you can find that are low carb. It just takes time and research. I make out a rough draft of things I want to pick up at the store before I go, and then I take my time reading the back of labels.
Its all about Net Carbs. Net Carb= Total Carb-(minus)Dietary Fiber. Also, I had forgotten that you need to take a multi-vitamin. And let me warn you ahead of time... EAT before you take it! If not, you may feel quite nauseous.
I have tried and tried and tried almost every single diet out there. This seems to be the only thing that had worked for me. Honestly, the first few days sucked without any sodas or anything. But 3 weeks in, it has just become a part of my life. I don't have a problem saying no to friends who want to go out to eat. Most of them understand. If I know I will be going out to eat, I just switch out my lunch with a shake and save my meal for dinner. I try to get the healthiest thing on the menu. Most the time it's a steak or grilled chicken and asparagus. (or something along those lines.) And I drink WATER WATER WATER!
I am so thankful for one of Michael's best friends Daniel for telling me about this diet. I gave up the first time around, but this time I have stuck it out and am so happy. I am closer to my goal of 200lbs. After the wedding, I plan on continuing to lose weight and become as healthy as possible. But I plan on keeping my curves... gotta keep the hubby happy too! :)
Well, thank you everyone for your support and encouragement. On my days where I just want to throw in the towel, you all are always there to keep me going. Especially my love, who has decided to join this lifestyle with me! I am such a lucky girl who has a man who supports me in everything I do. And doesn't want me to go through this alone. I love you babe!
Til the next one... Low Carb it ya'll!
